There are hundreds of holy cards available but every now and then we find prayers that should be on a card but aren't. Today we are releasing our own Spiritual Communion Holy Card.
Spiritual Communion Holy Card
What is a spiritual communion? (You may ask). A spiritual communion is a prayer that you say when you are attending or watching a Mass and are unable to receive communion either because you need to go to confession or because you aren't actually present. Here is the prayer:
Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that
You are present in the
Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all
things, and I desire to
receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot, at this moment,
receive You sacramentally,
come spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You
as if You were already there
and unite myself
wholly to You.
Never permit me to be
separated from You.
Amen

Mightn’t a person refrain from receiving Communion because he or she had not fasted for long enough?
