My wife showed me pictures of these adorable dolls on Facebook this evening and then I found out the back story.
These dolls are hand-made by a mom and her daughters to support the family. The dad walked out five years ago and has spent that time attempting every legal maneuver to get out of paying child support.
Right now the family lives on less than $1500 a month.
Right now you can see pictures of Daniel (with his lion), St. Therese and Mother Teresa. You can also make a special request and they will make a new doll just for you! Here is their Etsy store. For some reason the link on their blog isn't working.
