I have been awaiting this book by L. Hendey! Not having “peeked” at which Saints are book worthy… My top choice is St. Monica. I continue to be in awe of her prayerful perseverance for her husband, mother-in-law, and then there is Augustine. She is my inspiration for daily, specific prayer for each of my 3 children (14, 12 and 5.)
Praise God for our Catholic Saints to help us moms!

Hi Juliann, what is the link to your blog post?
Can’t wait to read this–hope I win!
Hi Sue, what is the link to your blog post?
I guess I need to do that! Sorry!

I know that St. Gianna Beretta Molla will be one of the saints in this book because she gave her own life for the life of her child. She was also a doctor and very pro-life. Her sacrifice of her own life shows that she gave herself totally to God. She is an assett to any book about motherhood and from reading Lisa’s last book I know that this will be an important saint to include.
Hi Jennifer, what is the link to your blog post?
Lisa’s writing is very down-to-earth and encouraging. I’m looking forward to her new book! My guess is St. Anthony of Padua, because I pray to him daily in times of need.
I did pick one saint, but only after I made my list Top Twenty list of Saints that Should Be in This Book! see my blog at
http://acatholichomejournal.blogspot.com/
I opened an account with Tiber River and tried to start a review-couldn’t find how to–so I tried to start a discussion–it didn’t work!
I’d really like a copy of the book =)
I’m guessing that Saint Gianna Beretta Molla might be in your book because she was a physician, a working mom, professional woman, and a loving wife and therefore a woman that many moms can learn about and be inspired by.
If I win the book-i will try again and write a review on Tiber River.
Have a Blessed day,
Patricia
Hi, Patricia!
Did you create a review queue – a list of books you’d like to review? I believe you have to do that before you can submit an actual review. I’ve messed up the process a few times so I may be wrong about that, but I think you need to create said queue, then click on a book within the queue to submit a review.
That is right.
I would guess that you would have to have Saint Rita. Of course St. Gerard the patron saint of mothers. Saint Ann, the mother of Mary.
Are we allowed more than one guess?
Nope, only one.
I am so excited about this book and can’t wait to read it. Knowing Lisa Hendey, it will be one super source of support and encouragement for Catholic Moms!
I posted about it on my blog: http://soulspeaksoftly.blogspot.com/2011/08/book-of-saints-for-catholic-moms-by.html
PS, my guess is St, Jane Frances de Chantal.
Looking forward to reading this book!!
Can’t wait to start reading her first book! Just found this site! TY Lisa!
I would love to read this book, as the women saints have become my inspiration for being a woman, wife, and mother! I think St. Elizabeth Ann Seton may be in the book- I relate to her in many ways- I also have five children and I homeschool them. Mother Seton is an inspiration for my teaching and my mothering! I appreciate Lisa Hendey’s website also, so I know it will be a great read!
Lisa is an incredible writer, speaker and blogger. I love hearing her podcasts and can’t wait to read her newest book. I know I can use all the help I can get and advice from 52 saints will certainly be useful for this mom!
I hope she includes St. Ann as well as spiritual mothers such as Teresa of Avila and Teresa of Calcutta in the list of saints, but I’m sure whomever she has chosen will be wonderful.
I too have posted about Lisa’s new book at :

Thanks Lisa for your hard work for Christ’s Kingdom!
