The Virtues - A Tiber River Review

The Virtues

The Virtues

Virtue:

2.  conformity of one's life and conduct to moral and ethical principles; uprightness; rectitude.  (Dictionary.com).
Given the state of the world as of late, virtues are all but disappearing in our society.  The Holy Father, in various media, has spoken about both the Theological ( Faith, Hope and Charity {Love}) and Cardinal Virtues (Prudence, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance), explaining how each can be applied to our daily lives.
Jaqueline Lindsey and Our Sunday Visitor have gone through encyclicals, audiences, books and homilies given by Benedict XVI to create this volume as a "Reader's Digest", extracting excerpts relavent to each topical virtue.  The insight our Holy Father has is truly inspiring, and this format really exposes the reader to just how brilliant a writer he is.
