Yesterday I stopped by one of our local Goodwill stores to check out their children's section. They have a five-shelfe bookcase for kids books. Only one shelf still had books on it. The other four were empty. They also only had about 10 kids toys in the whole store along with a few bikes and helmets.
My daughter was at a Goodwill store (I'm not sure if it was the same one) last week and noticed that there weren't any kids shoes anymore.
Yes, CPSIA is impacting thrift stores which sure doesn't help those low income folks who depend on places like this for basic items like shoes.
But hey, it's all for the children.
