Last time we were at the same restaurant we noticed two things as well: the bread was cold and the room was grubby around the edges. We wondered if they were in trouble or under different management, and we thought maybe we would find a different place to celebrate our future milestones. Likewise, some of the Catholic stores we have visited tend to get grubby around the edges and the merchandise tends to yellow and get dusty if it isn't moved around. The merchandise looks stale. That is the kiss of death for me--I don't want to shop in a place like that, and I always suspect a business in that shape is on the way to closing down.
