I missed the entire second season of LOST but I still love it! And follow it pretty well. I watched the first season courtesy Blockbuster.

The music in New Mexico isn't much better. We lived there for a short time and the local church had a Mariachi band.

Our current church doesn't have bad music (a little inane, sometimes, but mostly it's just plain vanilla), but our temporary priest has been having the congregation sing the refrain from "O Come All Ye Faithful" DURING the consecration. Why, yes, we are in Ordinary Time (well, Lent today! ) and yes, that is prohibited by the GIRM! He's just a sub, though... and we don't have a bishop to complain to anyway.
