I have just recently started praying the LOTH (Liturgy of the Hours) recently as in 2 days ago. My husband bought me the entire set as a Valentine's Day gift.

I had been wanting to "graduate" from CP to LOTH for awhile, but I was scared to try, it does look intimidating. "Be not afraid", if you are praying the Christian Prayer and are looking for something "more" then it is for you.

I felt compelled to move on because praying Morning and Evening Prayer wasn't enough and the Office of Readings was almost non-existent, and I especially wanted that. Now I have the best of both worlds. My vocation as a Wife and my job as a Substitute Teacher give me the time I need to pray 5 of the 7 hours everyday.

The beauty of the LOTH is you pray as many or as few of the Hours as you can.
The transition to go from CP to LOTH was painless, it took me about 30 minutes to learn the difference.

I would like to encourage everyone who has been wondering about making the change to do it. I'll grant you the cost is a little much, but you can always by one volume at a time. If you do this you'll never regret it. God Bless You.

This is a very helpful pointer, thank you.
I am starting a gateway into the Liturgy of the Hours with reviews and helpful education and formation intended in the future:
