Aquinas and More. Good Faith. Guaranteed.

About A & M Catholic Gifts

Aquinas and More Catholic Goods is centrally located in Colorado Springs, CO. We carry thousands of products ranging from books and videos to chalices and church furnishings.

The store was started by Ian Rutherford in 2002 and is owned and run by his family and friends.

The store name comes from two famous Catholic saints, Thomas Aquinas and Thomas More. The ox head in our logo is a symbol of St. Thomas Aquinas who was called “The Dumb Ox” because he was a very quiet student, and rather large.

We are located at 4727 N Academy Blvd, Suite A, Colorado Springs, CO 80918

Store hours are Monday through Friday, 10-5 (MST)

To contact us by phone: 719-495-7493, 866-428-2820

To fax us: 719-495-7505

To reach our store from the interstate take the Garden of the Gods exit off of I-25 and go East to Academy Blvd. Take a left on Academy and go north for about three blocks. Our store is located in the Flintridge Plaza on the Southeast corner of Flintridge and Academy between Denny's and the Dairy Queen.

Kim Jones (BibleQuest) November 6, 2006 at 9:49 am

Greetings,

My Name is Kim Jones and I work for a company called BibleQuest. We specialize in bible related toys and games for children. We are a fairly new company, and are very excited about our product line. If we were interested in advertising with you or for you to carry our product on your web site, how should we go about getting this done?

All of our toys/games are of the utmost highest quality and are bible and scripture based. If you would like to visit our web site just go to http://www.biblequest.com. I know you will find our products as exciting and outstanding as we do.

If you would like to reach us by phone our number is 817-983-0121 and ask to speak with Andy Osborne or myself at 817-983-0130. Looking forward to hearing from you.

God Bless,

Kim Jones

Ian, earlier this year you were kind enough to speak with me regarding my aspirations to open a catholic store in my area (FL). I have some additional questions and was hoping you might email me with an address where we could exchange emails. I am working the proforma budget and need some guidance on average annual cost of goods sold (percentage basis). I know different product lines have different pricing levels. I have some numbers to run by you to see if these are reasonable or if I need to be more conservative.

Please email me so we can discuss in more detail.
Blessings

I have just gotten published my new translation of “True Devotion to Mary”, by St. Louis de Montfort. I did the translation as a means of furthering devotion to the Blessed Virgin. If you would consider carrying this book in your bookstore, I would be very grateful for the opportunity. The book is ISBN 1593304706 (it can be viewed on Amazon.com, among other places). If you would like to preview the text, I can e-mail you a PDF file, as I am the rights holder of the translation.

God bless you for your work!

I’m a music director in Chantilly, VA, and I’ve put together a CD to help average parishioners and music teachers and their students learn some of the basic chants of the Church. Based on my classroom experience as our parish school music teacher for two years, I found that it was very helpful to have a resource that provided spoken pronunciation tracks, as well as the sung chants. The booklet that goes along with the CD also lists keywords (words in English that are related to the Latin words used in the chants) and the lyrics and translations of the twenty-five chants on the CD.

The CD is available online at store.stveronica.net. Would you also be interested in carrying it in your store?

God bless,

I am searching for a company that offers a Catholic Book Book Fair for chlidren in Catholic Schools. Scholastic offers one for secular books, however we wish to be able to offer our students books about their faith both for their personal use and to add to our school library. We are looking for both hardcover and softcover books.
In addition, we would like to be able to offer our parish a Book Fair for all ages to run in conjunction with the students Book Fair.

Even our Diocese has been unable to refer us to anyone who can help us. Please if there is anyone out there that could give me a name or direction it would be greatly apppreciated.

Thank you for your help.

I am the author of a Catholic novel that might be a good fit for your store. It has received the Catholic Writers Guild Seal of Approval and was a finalist for the CWG’s Catholic Arts & Letters Award (CALA). It is called “Finding Grace” and it is a pro-chastity, pro-life, coming-of-age love story that I wrote with teens and young adults in mind (but it can also be enjoyed by adult readers). The paperback version retails for $17.99, but my publisher, Bezalel Books, offers a 40% discount to Catholic bookstores and booksellers.

Here is the link to the book’s Amazon page: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1936453118/ref=cm_sw_su_dp

Coincidentally, my husband and I were just out in CO Springs visiting with our oldest son and his family, and we took a trip to Garden of the Gods with our three little granddaughters. We will be visiting again at the end of October, and if I have time I’d love to stop in and see your store (it looks beautiful!). I could bring a copy of my book to leave with you, to see if it’s something you’d be interested in carrying.

Thanks for your time.

Hello Laura,

Thank you for letting us know about your new title and congratulations on the recognition it has received. Right now we aren’t purchasing from Bezelel but I will keep you in mind as we expand our offerings.

Greetings -

We closed are store in November 2012. Just about that same time you were having difficulties and had asked for prayer through the CMN email group. We both were praying for you, but lost track of what happened to Aquinas & More. We’re happy to see you are still around. Was there anything specific that you did that helped you to continue your work. We miss our little store, but the support from our parish was just not there. Anyway now we have family members we are taking care of in our home. May God continue to bless you in His service. Peace and blessings

Hello Bob and Sarah,

We basically shut down everything, moved the web business into a warehouse and let all the employees go. It’s still going to take a long time to recover.

God bless,
Ian
